Sister Cities of Wilmington expouses the goals of the national organization as set fourth by its founder, President Dwight D. Eisehhower, in 1956:
“Two deeply help convictions unite us in common purpose. first, is our belief in effective, responsive local goverment as a principal bulwark of freedom.. Second, is our faith in the great promise of Sister City affiliations in helping build the solid structure of world peace.”
Sister Cities of Wilmington aims to further international understanding at all levels of the community of a continuing long-term basis.
Sister Cities of Wilmington fosters meaningful exchanges of ideas between people.
Sister Cities of Wilmington operates a program of exchange visits on a personal basis with all our official affiliations.
